Created by a one-woman small business with a passion for Japanese culture and craftsmanship, Bura Bura specialises in thoughtfully designed journal wraps and pen wraps handcrafted from upcycled vintage Japanese kimono fabrics.
Every piece begins with carefully sourced kimono textiles, many of which are available only in small quantities. As a result, many of Bura Bura’s journal wraps and pen wraps are true one-of-a-kind creations, giving these beautiful fabrics a new life to be treasured for years to come.
Inspired by time spent living and working in Japan, Bura Bura continues the long-standing tradition of repurposing kimono once they can no longer be repaired. By transforming these precious textiles into practical stationery accessories, each piece honours the history of the fabric while creating something both beautiful and functional.
