We are absolutely delighted to welcome Anabelle Hiller of Opus Cineris to the Melbourne Pen & Stationery Show for the very first time.
Your pen, perfectly tuned
With a background in music and the arts, Anabelle sees a fountain pen much like a musical instrument — something that should be carefully tuned to the person using it. After graduating from gold- and silversmithing school in 2020, she turned her skills to the art of nib making and has since worked with pen lovers, collectors and writers at shows around the world.
At the show, Anabelle will be offering custom nib adjustments and grinds, working with each pen and writer to find the writing experience that feels just right. She’ll also have testers of her remarkable Harmonic nib, an individually handcrafted 14k gold nib that Anabelle designs, cuts, shapes, tips, slits, finishes and grinds herself. Forged from a single piece of gold, its layered design is inspired by the way frequencies combine to create sound — a beautiful connection between her love of music and the art of nib making.
