Hanabi Glass Studio

Where fire becomes art

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Hanabi Glass Studio back to the Melbourne Pen & Stationery Show.

Discover the magic of glass

American-born artist Lucas Mahoney, now based in Japan, has spent more than 20 years mastering the art of lampworked glass, creating breathtaking handmade pieces that celebrate light, colour and craftsmanship. His stunning borosilicate glass dip pens are as much works of art as they are beautiful writing instruments.

Using a remarkable technique known as precious metal fuming, Lucas works vaporised gold and silver into molten glass to create mesmerising colour-shifting spirals that shimmer and transform as they catch the light. The result is a collection of one-of-a-kind dip pens, each with its own unique character and luminous beauty that simply has to be seen in person.

Whether you’re a collector of artisan glass, a lover of beautiful writing instruments or someone who appreciates exceptional craftsmanship, Hanabi Glass Studio is a table you won’t want to miss. Please stop by and say hello to Lucas at this year’s Melbourne Pen & Stationery Show and experience the beauty of these extraordinary handmade creations for yourself.
