As Melbourne’s longest-running community of writing enthusiasts, the group brings together collectors, fountain pen lovers, and handwriting aficionados who share a passion for fine writing instruments and their accessories. Meeting bi-monthly at the Tower Hotel in Hawthorn, the group provides a welcoming space to swap stories, showcase collections, and connect over a shared love of pens and paper.
At this year’s show, the Melbourne Pen Group will exhibit a curated selection of treasures from members’ private collections. These remarkable pieces – while not for sale – offer a rare opportunity to see the artistry and history behind writing instruments up close. It’s a unique chance to learn, admire, and be inspired by the pens that have shaped generations of handwriting.
