Vic has no bite
Just delight … and a love for all things stationery, and they have just surfaced as the new mascot for the Melbourne Stationery & Pen Show!
Vic isn’t your typical gummy shark, although they have been described as “wet with great flow". They are a friendly little fin-atic who’s obsessed with quality writing gear. No need to worry — the only thing Vic bites on are great deals (especially if there are samples involved).
A bit about Vic
Vic was born just off the coast of Inky Reef and has always dreamed of making it big — not in the ocean, but at the Melbourne Pen & Stationery Show. While most sharks are chasing fish, Vic’s chasing fountain pens, inks, and the perfect paper. Sea life? Nah. Ink life.
Fun Vic facts
- Wishes their fins were made of ebonite — because vintage flex is where it’s at
- Favourite ink? Platinum Carbon Black — because it’s waterproof, of course
- Thinks a zoom nib might actually help them swim faster
- 100% believes Montblanc is in Queensland — the postcode is 4810, after all
- Has their heart set on a Nakaya because, well, it has a dorsal fin
- And while everyone else was busy writing with Pelikans, Vic was practicing calligraphy with a fairy penguin because of the shimmer.
Come find Vic at the Melbourne Stationery & Pen Show on Sunday, 26 October 2025. They will be lurking around the stalls, hunting for bargains, and might even do a few loop-de-loops if you show them your favourite ink.
