Pilot Kakuno Choice
Kakuno Choice is a special pop-up and retail experience where stationery fans can build and customise their own Pilot Kakuno fountain pen.
Kakuno was first introduced by PILOT in 2013 as an approachable, affordable fountain pen designed to make writing with a fountain pen easy and enjoyable for younger writers and beginners.
With its friendly smiley-face nib, comfortable triangular grip and simple, colourful design, Kakuno quickly became a hit well beyond its original audience. Within its first year, more than 650,000 Kakuno pens had been sold in Japan, and the pen went on to become a popular gateway into fountain pens and the world of bottled inks.
Kakuno Choice takes that colourful spirit one step further. Rather than choosing a pre-assembled pen from the standard range, enthusiasts can pick and mix individual components and create their own combination.
