Parchment & Hide is owned by Melbourne maker Helen McLean, who handcrafts products using leather, waxed canvas, and paper. Parchment & Hide combines playful, imaginative themes with practical functionality.
In addition to offering products, such as leather notebook covers and ring binders, Parchment & Hide also offers paper goods to complement these products.
The paper used to make the notebooks and ring binder inserts is 100gsm and is well-suited to all wet media, including fountain pen inks, showing off sheening, shimmering, and shading ink properties without bleed-through or feathering.
Helen takes pride in every step of the process, from idea generation and sketching to research, prototyping, and presentation, resulting in products that are unique, functional, and long-lasting.
