Hareruya Pantry
A sun-dappled convenience store, connecting Melbourne with specialty house-made Japanese gelato, breads, bento, onigiri, sando, and rotating hot snacks.
Hareruya, which translates to ‘sunny shop’ in Japanese, is a place where light is distilled. It is a sun-dappled convenience store connecting Melbourne with specialty house-made Japanese gelato, breads, bento, onigiri, sando, and a rotating selection of hot snacks.
Situated directly opposite Lincoln Square in Carlton, close to Melbourne University and numerous local offices, Hareruya serves as an ideal pit stop for a morning sandwich, a Sunday stroll, an afternoon gelato, or a quick takeaway lunch.
Hareruya Pantry’s gelatos focus on classic, no-frills Japanese flavours. The team is passionate about introducing Japanese ingredients and food culture to the Melbourne community, fostering connections and conversations through their offerings. Alongside traditional tea flavours like Matcha and Houjicha, they have also featured unique varieties such as Sake Lees, Sudachi citrus, Ume plum, and Hokkaido pumpkin.
Be sure to take a break in our Chill-Out room and recharge with a yummy snack – their best-seller is daifuku: a scoop of gelato wrapped in mochi.
