Dodgy Paper
There is enough paper on Planet Earth already. Dodgy Paper makes fresh pulp from old scraps, offcuts, junk and waste paper.
Every sheet has a story, and every batch can be traced back to the waste paper it was created from. From premium fine art printing offcuts to forgotten scraps destined for the bin, Dodgy Paper gives unwanted materials a second life, proving that paper waste isn’t rubbish, but a creative resource waiting to be rediscovered.
Built around the philosophy that “There is enough paper on Planet Earth already,” Dodgy Paper challenges the wastefulness of conventional paper production. While industrial papermaking can consume enormous amounts of water to produce a single sheet, Dodgy Paper takes a deliberately low-impact approach, using only a fraction of that amount to create hundreds of handmade sheets. The result is beautifully textured paper that not only looks unique but also carries a story of sustainability and thoughtful craftsmanship.
Resourcefulness is woven into every part of the Dodgy Paper process. Waste acetate from local screen printers is repurposed for pressing and drying sheets, paper moulds are built from reclaimed timber, equipment is sourced second-hand whenever possible, and every order is packed using compostable mailers, recycled eco-board, and paper tape. It’s all driven by what Roger affectionately calls “creative hoarding”, the belief that almost everything has another purpose if you’re willing to look at it differently.
Dodgy Paper is an invitation to think differently about the materials we use every day. Every sheet celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and the endless possibilities of reuse, because anything that was once paper can become paper again, and again, and again.
