What began as a personal fascination with unlocking the full potential of a fountain pen nib has evolved into a craft that serves enthusiasts, artists, and writers around the world.
Every nib that reaches Chris’s workbench has its own story. His approach is centred on creating the perfect relationship between nib, hand, paper, and writing style. Specialising in bespoke grinds, Chris produces nibs that seamlessly bridge traditional writing with creative expression, from specialised artistic tools to exceptionally refined everyday writers.
His journey as a nib specialist has led to the development of several signature grinds, including the Artist, a sophisticated tri-grind designed for deliberate line variation, and his renowned Pencil Grind. Created to perform beautifully on textured mixed-media papers, the Pencil Grind delivers a uniquely organic writing experience, recreating the pleasant tactile feedback and subtle variation of a graphite pencil while remaining smooth, intuitive, and highly versatile.
